In Memoriam

President Emeritus James O. Freedman, 15th president of Dartmouth College (1987-98) and an influential leader in American higher education, died Tuesday, March 21 at age 70. Mr. Freedman died at his home in Cambridge, Mass., after a long and courageous struggle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
