The Dartmouth Club of Boston is planning a gathering and the Class of 1985 will be planning a get-together in conjunction with that.

Ken Jones ’85 and Chip Conner ’85 are already planning to be there. Join Dartmouth College President Phil Hanlon ’77 (the newly-appointed chair of the Matariki Network of Universities) for a special event with leaders from the Matariki Network of Universities (MNU), an international consortium of seven leading like-minded universities, based in seven different countries around the world.

Not sure you have heard but the Big Green is bringing its best football to Fenway Park in November as part of the Fenway Gridiron Series. Dartmouth will play Brown under the lights at Fenway Park (Boston) on Friday, November 10th (game starts at 8:00 pm). This is the 95th year of the rivalry between these two teams and only the 3rd time that the game between these teams has been played anywhere outside of Hanover or Providence (read more about the history of the rivalry http://www.dartmouthsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=11600&ATCLID=211406990).
What a great chance for those in the Boston area (and those visiting the Boston area) to come and cheer on the Big Green. And what a great opportunity for ’85’s to gather and be a part of the fun.
We have purchased a block of tickets (15 for now-we can buy more). Please email me (Valerie Hartman at vhartman711@gmail.com) and let me know that you want to buy tickets from our block. Joe Riley, our esteemed Class President, has the tickets. When you email me, I will coordinate getting your payment to him and your tickets to you.

The Red Sox are offering a 10% discount for groups of 20 or more. And rumor has it that Dartmouth folks have been getting tix in the Brown section to get the best seats possible:-)
Please do let me know that you are planning to be there as we would love to know what ’85’s are at the game. We will be joining forces with the Dartmouth Club of Greater Boston and gathering for the pre-game party at Landsdowne Pub just outside of Fenway (from 5:30-7:30). We will carve out a space for the ’85s at this gathering — look out for our class banner. There will also be a Dartmouth meeting spot inside Fenway (a lounge to be determined) starting at 6 (details to follow). Again, please let me know that you are planning to attend so that I can forward information to you as it becomes available.
Gather for Homecoming with your fellow 85s! We hope to see many of you there, and please join us for our class events:
Friday Night:
7 PM: Alumni Parade! Join fellow 85s (corner of Crosby & Wheelock Streets, near front gate of the football stadium – *look for the 85 banner*) to line up for the parade.
After the parade, for the bonfire: meet in front of Reed Hall. That’s the white building set a bit in front of the three buildings of Dartmouth Row.
Saturday 10/7:
11am to 1:30pm gametime: Tailgating!! Join us for a Class of 1985 mini-reunion at our tailgating tent at Blunt Alumni Center. We will be joining forces with the ’82s, ’83s, and ’84s. The Cords (one of Dartmouth’s fabulous acapella groups) will serenade us around 12/12:30pm! Food and drinks provided and more festive if you can bring something, too! … letValerie Hartman ’85 know if you can bring an appetizer, dessert, etc.
What: A pre-game Mini-Reunion Homecoming reception for the Classes of ’85, ’84, ’83 and ’82! Where – At the large white tent adjacent to Blunt Alumni Center, Saturday, October 7
When: Coffee and donuts starting at 11 am / a cappella concert and chili starting at noon / Football game starts at 1:30
