It’s just off Strand and is about 500 yards from three Tube stations: Charing Cross, Covent Garden, and Temple.

Just ask for the Dartmouth group at the door. I’ll be at 0783 716 2924 just in case. There’s bar food, but otherwise it’s a standard cash bar.

2009 HOMECOMING MINI-REUNION

On Saturday, October 24th, the classes of ’82, ’83, ’84 and “85 will
host a reception in the Russo Gallery with President Kim. This will
be a wonderful opportunity for you to meet our new president in an
intimate setting.

The reception opens at 4PM to give everyone time to make their way
from the Homecoming game. President Kim is scheduled to arrive around
4:30PM and will stay for approximately half an hour. There will be
appetizers and a cash bar. The Russo Gallery is located in Haldeman
Center(Haldeman/Kemeny is the new building where Kiewit/Gerry/Bradley
buildings used to be) on North Main St. directly across from Frat Row.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 14th, if you think there is a chance
you will be on campus for Homecoming and would like to attend this
reception. I heard President Kim speak a couple of weeks ago and he
is interesting and dynamic and I think will bring some fresh air to
Dartmouth. Please let me know if you will be there. Thanks!

Alumni and Students Help Katrina Victims

Rev. Dr. Stuart Lord, Dean of the Tucker Foundation, and Frederica Ghesquiere ’04 are leading a team of Dartmouth alumni/ae, staff and faculty to help with disaster relief in the Gulf Coast from June 16-23 2007.

Hurricane Katrina, a category 5 hurricane which made landfall on August 29th 2005, was the costliest and one of the deadliest hurricanes in the history of the USA. At least 1,836 people lost their lives in Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent floods. The hurricane caused severe and catastrophic damage along the Gulf coast, devastating cities such as Biloxi and Gulfport in Mississippi. It destroyed 90% of the buildings along the coast of Biloxi and neighboring Gulfport, stated Governor Barbour in an interview. The team will volunteer at Hands On Gulf Coast, located Biloxi, MS, alongside a volunteer team of Dartmouth students.

This trip is open to Dartmouth staff, alumni of the college and immediate family members of alumni. Registration will take place on a first come, first serve basis.
