There are two ways to pay your dues:

— go to our website (www.dartmouth85.com), look under “News & More,” and click “Pay Class Dues”

85th Day of the Year Celebration

Friday, March 25th:  here we come!!!!

Happy March!  Well, Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring and it sure seems to be real here in Georgia.  Hope that it’s happening in your part of the world too!

Well, March is a special month for the ’85 family.  Not only do we get to celebrate a holiday filled with Green (St. Patrick’s Day) and March Madness (and yes, the first day of spring), but it’s the month when we ’85’s celebrate a really important and exciting day of the year-you guessed it-the 85th day of the year-yahoooo!!!!!  With Leap Year in the mix, we celebrate this major milestone on Friday, March 25th (counted and double-counted-and hopeful that I got it right:-)  So it’s time for another virtual mini-reunion for the Class.

Get out your “ancient” Dartmouth-wear and take a picture wearing it (or stick it on your child/pet/friend and take some pics:-).  If you can, gather a bunch of Dartmouth ’85 buddies and watch some March Madness (or not) and take a picture of the gang.  Post these awesome pics to our class Facebook page (Dartmouth Class of 1985) (thank you Jeff Weitzman, our fearless webmaster, for making this page a reality). Get out those photo-albums and post some throw-back pictures from our “glory days” on the site too.

Any and all of these things will be great BUT PLEASE DO AT LEAST ONE OF THEM on or around Friday, March 25th.  Let’s make it festive folks.  Todd and I feel so darn grateful to be part of this great class of ’85-truly an honor and a privilege.  So let’s show some spirit and make Friday, March 25th “our” day.

With gratitude-Valerie (Hartman) and Todd (Cranford) (mini-reunion chairs)

PS:  And in the spirit of some good, fun competition, let’s see who can post the most pics for our 85th Day of the Year Celebration-there will be a special shout out for the winner (and maybe something more:-)

DC Mini-Reunion (Pix!)

85s in Washington, DC had a great time at their mini-reunion happy hour on July 24th at RFD, a local watering hole.  As is the case with almost all Dartmouth events, old acquaintances were renewed and new ones made.  Enjoying the fellowship were Pam and Barry Bass, Karen Spencer Anderson (who just happened to be in town from Auburn, AL for a conference), Anne Eisinger Broadhead, Rob Paterson, Sandra Kerr-Porcari (recently returned to the States after 20 plus years living in Italy), and the organizers, Rich Lindahl and Todd Cranford.  They had such a good time, they are already planning the next one!

Washington DC Mini-Reunion: The Heat Is On!

“The Heat Is On”   –    Glenn Frey (1985)

Glenn Frey could have been talking about the Nation’s Capital in July but he was probably talking about the Class of 1985!  In either event, it is time to find a cool place to have a drink and catch up with old (or should we say long-time) friends.  It’s hard to believe that we matriculated at the College on the Hill almost 33 years ago and that we are approaching our 30th class reunion next June.  The people we met and the relationships we forged, like the granite of New Hampshire, are a part of us ‘till death.

There are a large number of ‘85s in the DC metropolitan area and we thought it would be nice to gather to renew acquaintances and make new ones.  So, if you live in the DMV (that’s District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia for the uninitiated) or are traveling in the area, please join us on Thursday, July 24th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at RFD ) for a Class of ’85 mini-reunion happy hour.  RFD is conveniently located at 810 7th St., NW, across from the Verizon Center (Gallery Place Metro Station).  The class will cover some light food and drink (while supplies last – cash and carry afterwards) regale one another with stories of your campus exploits or the exploits you wish you had.  Of course, we are an accepting and tolerant lot, so feel free to bring your non-85 and non-Dartmouth friends.

Homecoming Mini-Reunion 2011

A mini-reunion for Dartmouth Night, October 21, 2011. We marched in the parade under the Class of ’85 placard and watched the ’15s race around the bonfire with President Kim. Sue and Margaret both looking for their “15 daughters in the chaos!
