Class of 1985 Memorial Fund

The 1985 Memorial Fund was established as a way for our class to acknowledge the passing of one of our classmates or a close family member. When a classmate dies, Valerie Hartman, Bereavement Chair, will send a condolence card to the family from the Class of 1985.
At our 20th reunion Class Meeting, those present voted to fund a Memorial Endowment Fund as part of the Memorial Committee. We voted to fund this endowment with $2500 in memory of those classmates who have died in the preceding 25 years with an additional class donation of $1500 per year up to our 25th reunion.
We have also added a line to the Class Dues request card for families and individuals to make their own donations to this fund in memory of a loved one or classmate. Our goal is to use this fund to establish a Class of 1985 Scholarship. We must reach $10,000 in order to establish this scholarship. Please notify Val Hartman (email address on the Class Officers page – registered users only) when you know of a classmate’s or close loved one’s death so that we may send an acknowledgment. Also, please consider making a donation in that person’s memory.
What better way to honor our classmates than providing another person with the means to attend Dartmouth?
Your Class Dues and Class Project gifts help support the Memorial Fund.
