Thanks to the incredible generosity of our classmates, we have successfully raised $4.723 millon for the Dartmouth College Fund with 48.4% participation! This represents the second-highest 30th Reunion gift total in the college’s history and outpaces the overall participation rate in the Dartmouth College Fund!
The Fund itself had a fantastic year, receiving gifts of $49.1 million with 42.9% participation to keep the Dartmouth Experience as powerful as ever.
Inspired by an anonymous classmate’s challenge to fund 30 Dartmouth Scholars in honor of our 30th reunion, our class did so — and we therefore were able to fund an additional 10 Class of 1985 Scholars. Our record-breaking 41 Scholars total garnered us the Class of 1960 Award for the greatest number of Scholars! Clearly, our class values keeping the Dartmouth experience accessible to qualified students regardless of their financial situation. If you missed the amazing talk given at Reunion by Billy Peters ‘16, a Scholar funded by one of our classmates, please read his story and know that our class has had a profound impact on his life.
A very warm thanks to our classmates who were part of this terrific accomplishment. And special thanks to those who joined the Bartlett Tower Society by including Dartmouth in their will. We set a new record for 30th reunion participants in this category as well!
Thanks to the strong contribution of the Class of 1985, Dartmouth students of today are becoming world-changers of tomorrow. It’s indeed an honor to enable their success.
Thank you!
