Why Give?

Gifts to Dartmouth through the Dartmouth College Fund come from alumni, families, and friends. These annual, unrestricted gifts directly sustain the student experience, supporting financial aid, faculty and academic programs, athletics, and culture and community. By making an annual gift through the Fund, you support Dartmouth’s efforts to help solve the world’s toughest problems by nurturing better human beings.

1769 Society

The 1769 Society is a group of some of Dartmouth’s most loyal and generous alumni and friends—leaders in their communities and professions. Like you, they understand that an annual investment in Dartmouth students is an investment in transforming lives. Members represent only 9% of Dartmouth College Fund donors, but account for 87% of the dollars raised each year.

Bartlett Tower Society

Joining the Bartlett Tower Society – Dartmouth’s legacy society – is as easy as leaving the College a percentage or specified dollar amount from your estate (through a will or trust) or naming the College as a beneficiary of a retirement plan (401(k), IRA etc.) or life insurance policy. If you have already included the College in your estate plans, thank you! You may document this and receive The Call to Lead Campaign credit by completing the Statement of Bequest Provision form at www.dartgo.org/bequest. If not already in your estate plans, the College has prepared this handy cheat sheet describing the various types of gifts that confer membership in this most personal of Dartmouth giving circles. You may also download this handy one-pager for details on making a gift, or contact our class representative or the Gift Planning Office directly at (603) 646-3799 or Gift.Planning@Dartmouth.edu.
